Gia Lai - An ownerless stray dog ​​attacked a man's face, causing injuries that required him to be hospitalized.

On December 31, the People's Committee of Ia Krai commune, Ia Grai district, said that a 2-year-old boy had just been attacked in the face by a dog.

At around 11am on December 30, a boy named Ro Mah Dung (2 years old, Doch Tung village, Ia Krai commune) was playing behind his house when he was attacked and bitten in the face by a stray dog.

Hearing the child crying, the family ran out to chase the dog away and took the victim to the Gia Lai Provincial Children's Hospital for emergency treatment with many injuries on his face.

Doctors treated the wound according to standard protocols, including: cleaning, suturing the wound and giving instructions for rabies vaccination. To date, the child is still being treated and monitored at the hospital.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Krai commune said that the dog that attacked Ro Mah Dung was a stray dog, the owner of which was unknown. Afterwards, the villagers searched for and beat to death the dog that bit the child.
