According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Yen Bai province, at around 1:45 a.m. on November 6, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu H (41 years old, residing in Hop Thinh village, Phu Thinh commune, Yen Binh district) was working on production line number 1 of the factory when a forklift driven by Mr. La Huu Thang reversed and ran over her.
After the accident, Ms. H was taken to the emergency room at Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital.
However, the victim was determined to have died earlier.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Yen Bai province assigned the Department Inspectorate to coordinate with local authorities, functional agencies and the family to conduct the initial examination and documentation.
The cause of the accident was determined to be a violation of labor safety while operating a forklift at the factory.
