Dr. Vinit Banga, Director of the Department of Neurology and Neur interventions, Fortis Hospital ( Faridabad, India), said that blurred vision on one eye with headaches may not be simply a sign of fatigue or stress, but can pose many dangerous diseases that require early examination.
One of the most common causes is migraines, especially around-the-ighth headaches or million-dollar migraines (recurrent headaches), according to hindustantimes.
These pains are often accompanied by visual disturbances such as blurred vision, lightning or blindness on one side. The condition can start as a result of stress, dehydration, hormonal changes, or certain foods.
Another cause is optic neuropathy, which causes blurred vision or sudden loss of vision on one side, sometimes accompanied by pain when moving the eyes. This is a condition often associated with multiple sclerosis or autoimmune diseases.
More worryingly, this phenomenon could be a sign of a small stroke. Patients may have temporary vision problems, accompanied by difficulty speaking or weakness in the limbs. TIA is a full-blown stroke warning and requires immediate emergency care.
In addition, retinal diseases such as retina peeling or retinal vein blockage can also cause sudden blurred vision on one side. This is often accompanied by bright spots, blurred vision, or a feeling of floating objects in front of the eyes.
Dr. Banga recommends never taking one-sided blurred vision with headaches lightly. Early examination helps to accurately determine the cause, treat promptly and prevent complications, especially diseases that risk causing vision loss or stroke.
