Since the beginning of 2025, Hanoi has recorded a total of 331 cases of dengue fever, with no deaths. The number of cases decreased compared to the same period in 2024 (1,58 cases 0 deaths). There were no new outbreaks recorded during the week; to date, the whole city has had 3 outbreaks that have been handled and ended operations.
Hanoi CDC believes that the number of dengue fever cases is on the rise, with some outbreaks recording insect indexes at high risk level. It is forecasted that in the coming time, the number of cases may continue to increase due to entering the peak period of the annual epidemic season.
During the week, Hanoi also recorded 59 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease in 42 communes and wards, with no deaths; down 18 cases compared to the previous week (77 cases). Accumulated from the beginning of the year to date, the whole city of Hanoi has recorded 3,046 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, a sharp increase compared to the same period in 2024 (1,627 cases).
In addition, Hanoi recorded 40 measles cases in 30 communes and wards, with no deaths; down 48 cases compared to last week (88 cases). Since the beginning of the year, the city has recorded a total of 4,225 measles cases. patients are classified by age: 12.3% under 6 months old; 12.8% from 68 months old; 7.8% from 911 months old; 20.2% from 15 years old; 13.8% from 610 years old; 14.7% from 1115 years old; and 18.4% from 16 years old and above.
Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation, in the past week, Hanoi recorded 65 cases, a decrease of 70 cases compared to the previous week (135 cases). Accumulated from the beginning of 2025, the city has 1,996 cases, an increase compared to the same period in 2024 (791 cases).
In the coming time, CDC Hanoi will continue to coordinate with units to monitor cases at medical facilities according to decentralization, on the software system of Circular 54/2015/TT-BYT and in the community, in order to promptly investigate and handle cases and outbreaks, preventing the epidemic from spreading. At the same time, strengthen medical quarantine at Noi Bai International Airport to detect suspected cases or infectious diseases early, thereby implementing appropriate and effective prevention and control measures.
