On March 24, information from the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital (Quang Binh) said that the hospital's doctors and nurses had just successfully treated a seriously injured patient due to homemade firecrackers.
Previously, patient N.H.L (born in 2009, residing in Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province) was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with many serious injuries on his body.
Through initial examination, doctors determined that the patient had completely lost his left hand and his right hand was partially crushed. On the patient's face, abdomen and legs, there were many open wounds.
The X-ray results showed that the patient's organs were damaged by the foreign object hooked in them. Relatives said that L made the fireworks himself by pouring explosives into metal cans. Unfortunately, the firecracker exploded right near people, causing a series of serious injuries.
Immediately, the doctors performed first aid, interdisciplinary consultation and urgently took the patient to the operating room.
Doctor Hoang Anh Phuong - Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital - said that the surgical team created a thorn in the left hand and treated the wounds in the right hand. The Department of Gastroenterology also performed surgery to remove foreign objects and suture visceral damage.
Thanks to the efforts of the medical team, the patient was out of danger and is receiving intensive treatment.
