On May 21, Hue City Department of Health coordinated with the Vietnam Association for Research and Application of Medical and Biological Technology (VAMBRA) and Vietnam Health Journey Joint Stock Company (VietHealth) to organize a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and opening a training class on artificial intelligence (AI) for medical staff in the area.
The program has the participation of representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Hue City, technology experts, leaders of the health sector and representatives of 40 health stations.
According to the Hue City Department of Health, digital transformation and AI application are becoming an inevitable trend in management, medical examination and treatment and people's health care. Improving digital capacity for the medical team is considered a key task to build a modern and effective healthcare system, putting people at the center of service.
The units will cooperate in the fields of human resource training, scientific research, digital transformation consulting and AI application in healthcare. The cooperation memorandum is valid for 5 years, implemented on the principle of voluntariness, equality, no financial obligations arising and ensuring the safety of health data.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, an AI training class for about 1,500 medical staff in the area was also opened. The program is expected to create a platform to promote comprehensive digital transformation of Hue City's health sector in the near future.
