In addition to drinking enough water every day, nutritionists recommend adding some natural drinks that can support liver function.
Green tea
Many studies show that green tea contains catechin, a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce inflammation and protect liver cells from damage. A study by Kyoto University (Japan) also shows that people who regularly drink green tea have a lower risk of fatty liver disease.
Warm lemon water
Vitamin C in lemon helps stimulate the liver to produce enzymes, increasing the ability to eliminate toxins. When drinking lemon water in the morning, it not only helps purify but also promotes digestion. Dr. Roxanne Sukol, preventive medicine expert at the Cleveland Clinic (USA), commented: " Maintaining the habit of drinking diluted lemon water can support the liver to function more effectively, but overuse should be avoided so as not to affect the stomach".
Amaranth water
This juice is rich in betaine and nitrate, which help improve blood circulation and enhance liver detoxification. A report in the World Journal of Hepatology shows that beetroot has the effect of reducing oxidative stress and protecting the liver in people at risk of fatty liver.
Although these drinks are beneficial, experts recommend that they only be effective when combined with a balanced diet, limit alcohol and maintain reasonable exercise. A healthy liver depends not only on one drink, but on a healthy lifestyle.
