Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties but the vehicle was severely damaged. The accident caused a series of vehicles passing by to move slowly, causing prolonged congestion.

According to people who witnessed the fire, at around 6:20 a.m. on September 24, this tractor-trailer was traveling on the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway, heading from Ho Chi Minh City to the West.
While the vehicle was passing through the section Km95+800, the section in My Loi commune, bordering My Duc Tay commune, Dong Thap province, the driver discovered smoke rolling up on the front of the trailer. At this time, the driver stopped the car on the road to check when suddenly the fire broke out and burst fiercely, with a column of black smoke rolling high into the air.
The incident was quickly reported to the authorities.
The authorities have also regulated traffic from Ho Chi Minh City to the West, going down to Cai Be intersection to National Highway 1A to continue the journey.

About 30 minutes later, the fire was basically under control. However, part of the tractor trailer was severely damaged by the fire.
The authorities are currently continuing to investigate the cause of the incident and calculate the extent of damage.
