In April 2025, the Population Department under the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health responded to citizens regarding the content of the request to provide information on the promotion policy.
Previously, Mr. Tran Anh Toan (residing in Khanh Hoa province) wondered about Khanh Hoa province being on the list of localities with low fertility rates and policies to encourage birth.
The Central Government has issued instructions on rewards and financial support or gifts for women who give birth to two children before the age of 35.
However, in April 2025, Mr. Tran Anh Toan went to the Cam Phu ward health station (Cam Ranh city) to ask about this issue and was told by the staff here that they had not received any guidance or decision from the province on this issue.
From this reality, Mr. Toan wondered whether Khanh Hoa province would apply this policy or not. If not, why?
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Population Department, in 2020, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a decision on the Program to adjust birth rates to 2030.
Up to now, the Department of Health has directed agencies and units in the industry to coordinate with departments, branches and unions to implement action programs.
The Department of Health is advising and mobilizing leaders at all levels to change behavior for the community, consulting and providing information on secondary infertility prevention, health consultation before marriage; advising and encouraging men and women to get married before the age of 30, not getting married too early or too late; women giving birth to a second child before the age of 35...
In early 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee continued to assign the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to advise on the issuance of reward policies and support for collectives and individuals who have done a good job of population work.
Implementing the above direction, the Population Department is drafting a "Policy for reward and support for collectives and individuals who have done a good job of population", including a cash or material support policy to encourage couples to have 2 children under 35 years old.
The draft is being finalized to send to relevant departments, agencies, localities, and associations of unions for comments to submit to superiors for promulgation in the coming time.
