On April 25, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a decision on urban road transport activities and the rate of public passenger transport vehicles with support equipment for people with disabilities in urban areas in Khanh Hoa province.
From July 1, 2025, at least 10% of all public buses in Khanh Hoa province must be equipped with equipment to support people with disabilities (such as elevators and special seats).
For buses without equipment, the transport unit must arrange staff to support people with disabilities to get on/off the bus.
Khanh Hoa province also regulates urban road transport activities, the operating time of environmental sanitary vehicles, cars carrying construction materials, and waste.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested localities to conduct surveys and determine locations where parking is allowed for passenger vehicles, loading and unloading locations for cargo vehicles on urban routes under their management.
It is known that in Khanh Hoa province, there are currently nearly 27,000 people with disabilities, of which 24,339 people are receiving monthly allowances (including 6,536 people with severe disabilities and 17,863 people with severe disabilities). The number of buses in operation is 120 on 20 routes (including 8 subsidized routes, 12 socialized routes).
