On the evening of May 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the Vesak 2025 Festival in recent days has attracted the attention of many people and Buddhists across the country. At Thanh Tam pagoda, after 2 days of opening the door for people to worship the Reward of Buddha Shakyamuni, tens of thousands of people have come to worship.
At the waiting rooms, with a large concentration of people, people waiting in long lines in hot weather create a high risk of heat stroke, dangerously affecting people's health. The Ho Chi Minh City health sector has arranged more than 50 doctors and nurses in the morning and more than 30 people in the evening to be on duty on the spot from 5 - 11pm every day.
From the time the doors opened to worship for people until 4:00 p.m. on May 4, 278 cases received first aid on the spot and 7 cases were transferred to the hospital.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City health sector has synchronously deployed plans to ensure health care in the Thanh Tam pagoda area; Arrange regular medical forces, especially with anti-drowning cooling equipment ready to handle on-site emergency situations.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health assigns hospitals near Thanh Tam Pagoda to always be ready to provide professional support to the staff on duty at the pagoda and receive serious cases such as Binh Chanh Hospital, Trung Vuong Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital...
Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center plays a key role in coordinating all emergency activities, possibly mobilizing additional medical support forces, mobilizing 2-wheeled ambulances. In addition, with a direct communication system with relevant forces (police, organizing committee), the 115 Emergency Center can seek opinions from the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to activate emergency procedures in case of a larger medical incident.

To ensure health when participating in worship, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health recommends that people bring hats, sun umbrellas, drinking water, and snacks. People with chronic diseases need to take medicine according to the correct instructions.
People should not jostle or push when participating in the ceremony to avoid falling or injuring themselves. If you feel tired or dizzy, you should immediately report to your companion, find a cool place to rest and contact the nearest volunteer or medical tent for timely support.
