The Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, Hanoi Department of Health has just sent a document to the People's Committees of wards and communes informing about samples of bottled drinking water products that did not meet quality standards.
Accordingly, implementing Plan No. 29/KH-CCATVSTP, the Hanoi Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene has taken samples to monitor some bottled drinking water and iced water products circulating in the city for testing and quality assessment.
The results showed that 2 bottled drinking water samples had test results that did not meet microbial indicators compared to QCVN 6-1: 2010/BYT National Technical Regulation for natural mineral water and bottled drinking water.
The first model is Levia Plus bottled water. This type of bottled water has no production date, no expiration date.
Levia Plus bottled drinks of Thanh Nga production and distribution facility, produced in Hanoi. Sampling location at T Mart store 35 – No. 2 Alley 105 Doan Ke Thien, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
The second bottled water sample with substandard results is Thang Long bottled water. Like Levia Plus, this type of bottled water has no production date, no expiration date.

Sampling location at grocery store No. 16B, alley 58 Tran Binh, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
The product labels of the 2 bottled drinking water samples do not have the specific address of the production unit as well as the product distributor, therefore the Hanoi Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene announces to the People's Committees of wards and communes in the city to know and review bottled drinking water production and distribution establishments in the area, if there are such establishments, request inspection and handling according to regulations" - the document clearly stated.
