A sufficiently hydrated body helps the kidneys function more smoothly in filtering blood and excreting waste through urine. This is a natural way to support body reactions.
Healthy support drinks before Tet:
Warm water with lemon + ginger
1 glass of warm water (about 300-350 ml), squeeze 1⁄2 lemon, a few slices of fresh ginger.
Lemon is rich in vitamin C - an antioxidant, which can help increase iron absorption and support the immune system. Ginger has mild anti-inflammatory properties, helping to increase bowel movement and reduce bloating after eating a lot.
Increasing drinking water with vitamin C and natural antioxidants is a healthy habit, especially when you need to limit sugary drinks during Tet.
Green tea + turmeric
1-2 bags of green tea, a few slices of fresh turmeric or 1⁄2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, you can add a little honey.
Green tea is a source of polyphenols and catechin - powerful antioxidants, while turmeric contains curcumin, a compound with anti-inflammatory effects. These substances support reducing oxidative stress, which helps the liver not overwork in conditions of fatty diet.
If used for flavoring, you should drink it warm and not too sweet to avoid high blood sugar.
Simple vegetable detox water
You can add 1-2 slices of cucumber + a few mint leaves + a few slices of orange or tangerine to the water bottle. This type of water provides vitamins, minerals and natural flavors, helping to increase daily water intake without artificial sugar.
Note, avoid abusing extreme detox regimes or prolonged fasting, because recent medical studies have shown that these regimes do not have sustainable benefits and may cause electrolyte and blood sugar disorders, affecting the microbiome.
Not completely relying on pre-made "detox" products or unproven scientific supplements, because they can cause side effects (such as drug intervention, electrolyte imbalance...).
Besides drinking the above drinks, it should be combined with a balanced diet rich in fiber, getting enough sleep, light exercise (walking) and limiting alcohol and fried foods will be the key to helping the body "lightly welcome spring" healthily.
