On March 26, the Dak Lak Provincial Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene informed that the unit had coordinated with the Tay Nguyen Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to inspect M.L restaurant in Residential Group 2 Cu Ebur (Buon Ma Thuot ward) after the incident of 3 people having anaphylaxis and having to be hospitalized for eating bitter beef ribs with eggplant.
During the inspection, functional agencies took food samples and sent them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing (Ministry of Health) for analysis and clarification of the cause.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, M.L restaurant was determined to have violated regulations on the 3-step food inspection regime for food service business establishments and will be administratively sanctioned.
Currently, functional agencies are handling the case according to regulations.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 2:15 pm on March 12, the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital received 3 patients, all residing in Quang Ngai province, in a state of chest tightness, shortness of breath, red rash, vomiting, swollen face and lips after eating bitter beef vein soup.
Through examination, doctors diagnosed all 3 patients with grade 2 anaphylaxis and quickly proceeded with treatment, while monitoring their health.
