At the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Program between the Vietnam Medical Union and Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Lao Dong Newspaper, Health and Life Newspaper, Institute of Strategy and Policy of the Fatherland Front, Central Center for Health Communication and Education for the period 2026-2030 held on March 26, Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam said that currently the Vietnam Medical Union is representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of nearly 60,000 union members and workers in the health sector.

In the context of the health sector continuing to innovate and develop and facing many pressures in the work of caring for, protecting and improving people's health, the role of trade union organizations in caring for life, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers is becoming increasingly important.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union said that, along with the implementation of practical care activities, information and propaganda work is of particular importance in spreading the guidelines and policies of the Party and State;
Timely reflecting the activities of the trade union organization; and at the same time honoring the silent but very large contributions of the medical staff team. Through communication, good models and effective ways of working in trade union work are shared and replicated; examples of dedicated and responsible doctors are spread; thereby contributing to creating social consensus and sharing for the health sector and the health sector's workers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam, through the coordination program, the parties will strengthen coordination to widely disseminate information about the trade union activities of the health sector; about programs to care for and support union members and workers; about policies related to medical staff; as well as promptly reflect the thoughts, aspirations, and recommendations of union members and workers in the sector.
At the same time, the program also aims to spread the good values of the medical profession, honor exemplary doctors, advanced examples in the emulation movement of good labor, creative labor; contributing to building the image of dedicated and responsible health workers, for people's health.
Also at the program, representing press and media units, Mr. Truong Thanh Trung - Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper affirmed that this signing program marks an even closer step in the connection between press agencies and the Vietnam Medical Union in propaganda and communication work...

Regarding the coordination program between the Vietnam Medical Union and Lao Dong Newspaper, the two sides agreed to sign a "Coordination Program to promote propaganda of trade union activities and care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the health sector in the period 2026 - 2030.
The purpose is to raise awareness of officials, union members, and workers in the health sector; and at the same time widely disseminate to all classes of people about the guidelines and policies of the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ministry of Health in the work of protecting and caring for people's health, contributing to building and developing the health sector, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Propagating and mobilizing people from all walks of life to join hands for the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health; contributing to orienting public opinion, creating trust, understanding and consensus of society towards the activities of the health sector in general, and the Vietnam Medical Union in particular.
Strengthen propaganda on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the health sector nationwide.
