Especially, during this noon shift, traffic police also used flycams (unmanned aerial vehicles) to record and detect drivers from restaurants and pubs driving vehicles on the road.


Accordingly, traffic police arranged a working group to patrol and survey the area near restaurants and pubs.
After that, a traffic police officer will perform flycam duties to observe. When detecting a driver driving a vehicle from a restaurant or pub to the road, the traffic police officer will use a walkie-talkie to notify the officers on duty at the public handling post on the road to stop the vehicle, inspect and handle it.


At 1:00 PM, task force officers using flycam discovered a woman moving from D.T. Restaurant (about 400m from the alcohol concentration control checkpoint) out of provincial road 163 and driving a car with license plate 21A-035. xx on the road.
Immediately, the traffic police officer immediately informed the traffic police force at the vehicle stop to check.
Here, the female driver was Ms. P.T. T. (33 years old, residing in Mau A commune). Through checking Ms. T.'s alcohol concentration, the police did not detect any violations.



Today, I and my husband and some friends organized a meeting at a restaurant, because my husband had drunk alcohol, I took on the task of driving. Fortunately, today I was driving, if my husband was driving, it would be dangerous and I would lose money to pay fines," the female driver shared.
About 10 minutes later, the task force continued to use flycams and discovered a male driver driving a motorbike from a restaurant to the street, so they requested to stop the vehicle for inspection.
At the traffic police checkpoint, the driver was identified as Mr. N.V.T. (41 years old, residing in Mau A commune). Through alcohol concentration testing, Mr. T. violated at 0.716mg/liter of breath.



Today I went to a meeting at the beginning of the year and drank alcohol. I did not expect the traffic police force to handle alcohol concentration. On the first day of the year, I hope you comrades will forgive me this time," Mr. T. presented, but was still issued a ticket by the police for a fine of 9 million VND and revoked his driver's license.
Also violating the maximum alcohol concentration limit, driver B.D. H. (born in 1981) said that he had just drunk Tet greetings at his parents-in-law's house and was on his way home. Due to subjectivity, Mr. H. drove his motorbike and was handled by traffic police. Through alcohol concentration testing, this male driver violated at 0.568mg/liter of breath.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Trung - Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police) said that in order to promptly detect and strictly handle alcohol concentration violations, the unit regularly changes patrol methods, promotes the application of science and technology to improve work efficiency and minimize the confrontation of violators.


We maintain patrols and inspections throughout Tet with the spirit of not being hesitant, focusing on handling alcohol concentration violations to curb traffic accidents with the spirit of no forbidden zones, no exceptions, no days off.
The highest goal is to prevent violations and reduce traffic accidents caused by alcohol and beer. At the same time, raise awareness of law compliance and build a safe traffic culture," the Traffic Police Lieutenant Colonel emphasized.
Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Trung, on the 1st day of Tet, this unit conducted a total of nearly 500 vehicle inspections, thereby handling 20 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 7 cases of speeding violations. The total fine amount is more than 170 million VND.
