The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has a document requesting the suspension of circulation, recall and destruction nationwide of a batch of Herbal Nano gel bath & hygiene cosmetics due to violations of regulations on announced product formulas.
According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, based on the test results of the Center for Drug, Cosmetic, and Food Testing - Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the batch of Herbal Nano Bathing & Hygiene Gel products - 1 box, 105g bottle (Received Notice: 162/22/CBMP-BD; Batch number: 010325; Manufacturer: 03.03.2025; Expired date: 03.03.2028) contains 2-Phenoxyethanol, a component not found in the product formula that has been granted the Received Notice and is not labeled on the circulation label.
This cosmetic sample was taken at Long Chau 16 Pharmacy (No. 91 Thanh Thai, Ho Chi Minh City) for quality inspection.
According to a report by Bio International Co., Ltd. - the product manufacturer - the above-mentioned Herbal Nano Bathing & Cleaning Gel batch contains 2-Phenoxyethanol, leading to the fact that the actual formulation components are not in accordance with the announced dossier and product labels.
The unit responsible for putting the product on the market is Vinapharma Trading Production Co., Ltd. The product is produced at Bio International Co., Ltd.
Faced with the above violations, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requested to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the batch of Herbal Nano Bathing & Hygiene Gel products – 1 box, 105g bottle mentioned above.
The reason for recall is given that circulating cosmetics have formulas that are not as correct as the announced dossiers.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to notify establishments trading and using cosmetics in the area to immediately stop trading and using violating products, and at the same time organize recall and destruction in accordance with regulations; inspect, supervise and handle violating units.
For related businesses, Vinapharma Company and Bio International Co., Ltd. are responsible for notifying recalls to all distributors and users of products; receiving recalled products and destroying the entire batch of violating products; reporting the results of recall and destruction to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before January 23, 2026;
Review batches of other Herbal Nano Bathing & Hygiene Gel products that have been produced, recall if similar errors are detected and report before January 7, 2026.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam also requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to closely monitor the process of recalling and destroying violating products of the two enterprises; Recall the receipt number of Cosmetic Product Announcement Form 162/22/CBMP-BD as prescribed; Inspect the compliance with the law on cosmetic management of related enterprises and handle and strictly punish according to regulations; report the results of inspection and supervision to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before February 7, 2026.
