On July 17, the Drug Administration of Vietnam issued a decision to revoke the drug circulation registration certificate in Vietnam for Femancia drugs, registration number: VD-27929-17 issued by Me Di Sun Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, address: 521 An Loi Quarter, Hoa Loi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (old address: 521 An Loi Quarter, Hoa Loi Ward, Ben Cat Town, Binh Duong Province) to register from the list of drugs granted a circulation registration certificate in Vietnam.
Femancia drugs are not produced and circulated on the market from the effective date of this Decision. Me Di Sun Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company must recall the above drug according to the provisions of law.
The reason for this drug's registration being revoked is that within 60 months, 2 batches of drugs were compulsoryly revoked due to violations at level 2.
Also on July 17, the Drug Administration Department also requested the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of Vitamin C sunscreen products, number of receipt of cosmetic Declaration Form: 242/24/CBMP-PT dated September 5, 2024; facility responsible for distributing products to the market: Production and Trading Company Limited Athena Vietnam, Address: Lot 18-20 Doi Mang Area, Thanh Mieu Ward, Phu Tho Province.
Sun Cream sunscreen, No. to receive the Cosmetic Declaration Form: 39/22/CBMP-PT, dated September 9, 2022. The facility responsible for distributing products to the market: lovis Cosmetics Company Limited, at No. 64, Quang Trung Ward, Quang Ninh Province.
Reason for recall: The cosmetic product sample was assessed at the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security with an SPF (sanitary index) of less than 70% compared to the announcement on the packaging and was concluded by the Economic Police Department - Phu Tho Provincial Police as a fake.
The Department of Drug Administration requires the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities to notify and conduct inspections of businesses and cosmetic users and propagate to local people not to buy/sell or use the above products.
