Through inspection, all public and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities in the area do not do business in and use fake milk within the facility.
The District Health Department, Thu Duc City has also inspected and surveyed 4,641 pharmacies in the area (accounting for about 60% of the total number of pharmacies in operation). Initially, it was noted that 21/22 districts and towns in Thu Duc City have not detected any fake milk businesses in the area.
The Binh Thanh District Health Department alone discovered that the business household of pharmacy M.A 6 (Vu Huy Tan Street, Ward 3) was trading 6 boxes of fake milk branded Bold Milk - musculoskeletal colostrum bought from We United Company Limited. However, the distribution company has recalled 6 boxes.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also issued a document on applying measures to prevent crimes and violations of the law related to the production and trading of fake medicine.
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the Standing Agency of the City Steering Committee 389 (Department of Industry and Trade) to strengthen the direction of coordination between agencies and relevant functional forces to fight against smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin belonging to the group of pharmaceuticals, medicinal herbs, and traditional medicine in the city.
Regularly review drug trading activities on social networks and e-commerce platforms. Coordinate to strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate.
Assign the Department of Health to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police in investigating and handling cases of production and trading of counterfeit drugs and drugs of unknown origin. Coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and other competent authorities to strengthen control and prevention measures against counterfeit drugs and drugs of unknown origin circulating on the market.
Strictly manage drug retail and wholesale establishments, only buy and sell drugs with full circulation registration certificates, invoices and documents of clear origin; strictly handle violations.
In addition, it directs testing agencies to strengthen drug quality control to promptly detect counterfeit drugs. Direct units to organize the review and thorough recovery of counterfeit drugs discovered to prevent and minimize harm to people's health.
