Khanh Hoa - National Ear, Nose and Throat Conference with the participation of nearly 800 experts updates a series of new technical applications in treatment.

On March 21-22, in Khanh Hoa province, the Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose and Throat Association in coordination with the Khanh Hoa Ear, Nose and Throat Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital organized the 42nd Annual Scientific Conference in 2026.

The conference attracted nearly 800 delegates who are experts, doctors, and physicians from many provinces and cities across the country to attend. This is one of the large-scale specialized forums, contributing to connecting and updating medical knowledge in the field of ORL.

With the theme "Updating diagnosis - treatment - Ear, Nose and Throat Care", the program is divided into 4 specialized sessions, focusing on key areas including: nose - sinus; ear - auditory pathology; throat - larynx; head and neck surgery - cancer.

At the conference, many new advances in diagnosis and treatment were introduced, especially the application of artificial intelligence AI, immunology and modern surgical techniques.

In-depth reports focus on many prominent methods such as: balloon ear canal dilation in the treatment of recurrent ear canal obstruction.

The "Carolyn's window" drilling techniques in nasal sinus surgery or treating skull floor damage first through nasal endoscopy, and nasal septal orthopedic surgery using autologous septal grafts were introduced at the conference.

In addition, the conference also mentioned functional rehabilitation and treatment solutions for cancer in the head and neck area such as: improving sniffing ability after a total laryngeal resection with the method of creating airflow through the nose; partial frontal laryngeal resection with neck skin graft regeneration; application of narrow-band endoscopy in early diagnosis of lower throat - laryngeal cancer.

According to the organizers, the conference is not only a place to exchange professional experiences but also an opportunity to announce in-depth research, thereby marking important steps forward of Vietnam's ear, nose and throat specialty.
