On the morning of December 28, representatives of the Tam Long Vang Charity Fund and the Bac Nha Trang Ward Trade Union visited and presented money and gifts supported by readers to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (who had just passed away).
In a small, degraded but neat rented room in Bac Nha Trang ward (Khanh Hoa), Mr. Tran Van Thua quietly lit incense for his wife, then took the opportunity to repair some electrical equipment to earn extra income.
Mr. Thua's family situation was once reflected by the Golden Heart Fund in the article "Poor teacher passes away before November 20, husband sells car to prepare for funeral" (code LD25063).
Immediately after the article was spread, Lao Dong Newspaper readers and philanthropists sent support via Mr. Thua's account of more than 110 million VND.
All of this money was used by him to prepare for the funeral and fulfill his will to take his wife back to his hometown of Thanh Hoa to rest with his biological mother.
Thanks to the help of philanthropists and the Golden Heart Fund, I managed to arrange a funeral for my wife. I also bought an old motorbike to continue making a living. I don't know what to say other than sincere thanks," Mr. Thua emotionally shared.
After taking Ms. Thuy to her resting place, the rented house of the couple was flooded almost to the roof, causing most of the furniture to be heavily damaged.
When I returned to clean up, there was almost no clothes or items left. Fortunately, the Golden Heart Fund supported an old tool box, which I am still using to this day.
After setting up an altar for my wife, I plan to drive a technology car but worry about my child staying at home alone, so I brought my child back to my hometown to live with my grandmother. When the family is temporarily stable, I will continue to work to raise my child," Mr. Thua said.

Representatives of the Tam Long Vang Charity Fund and the Bac Nha Trang Ward Trade Union presented more than 5.2 million VND supported by readers along with essential gifts such as rice, instant noodles, blankets, sheets, pillows.
Mr. Thua said he would use this money to prepare incense for his wife and repair his motorbike to serve his work and stabilize his life.
Previously, the Tam Long Vang Charity Social Fund also donated 3.5 million VND donated by readers through the Fund to Mr. Thua. Immediately after that, he asked to transfer this amount of money through the Fund to promptly support a particularly difficult situation who needs treatment funds.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (born in 1980, former teacher of Vinh Hoa Kindergarten, Bac Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa) suffers from end-stage kidney failure.
In 2018, empathizing with each other's circumstances, Ms. Thuy and Mr. Tran Van Thua moved into the same house. In addition to the time spent on medical treatment and working at school, Ms. Thuy still wholeheartedly cared for and taught Mr. Thua's rieng daughter - a child with slow development.
Every day, Mr. Thua drives a technology car and takes on many extra jobs to cover living expenses and medicine for his wife.
On the day Ms. Thuy passed away, floodwaters rose in the rented house. Unable to manage funeral expenses because his illness worsened too quickly, Mr. Thua was forced to sell his motorbike - his only asset and also a means of livelihood - for 7 million VND to prepare for his wife's funeral.
