In Son Hai residential group, Tinh Gia ward (Thanh Hoa), the family of Ms. Truong Thi Hong Giang (born in 1997) and Mr. Nguyen Viet Phu (born in 1993) originally had a simple but peaceful life. However, a tragedy struck since their second daughter was born, leading to a series of days of attachment to the hospital.
Baby Nguyen Thi Khanh Phuong, born in 2024, unfortunately suffered from a congenital malformation of having no anus, accompanied by congenital heart disease. Right from the time she was 2 days old, she had to undergo surgery to place an artificial anus at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital. However, that was just the beginning of a long series of challenging days with consecutive surgeries.

When she was 9 months old, baby Khanh Phuong was transferred to Hanoi to continue the 2nd surgery. Before the Lunar New Year 2026, she underwent her 3rd surgery at the National Children's Hospital. Despite having undergone many medical interventions, her health condition was still quite weak, almost every month she had to go to the hospital because she also suffered from many other diseases such as acute respiratory failure, acute bronchial pneumonia, intestinal infections, malnutrition...
Ms. Hong Giang choked up and shared: "My child is still suffering from rectal and anal stenosis, so he has to have his anus dilated every day. Watching my child cry in pain, my heart aches like a knife cutting. But if it is not dilated, the risk of having to have a 4th surgery is very high. Meanwhile, my child's congenital heart disease has not yet been intervened.

Difficulties are compounding for Ms. Hong Giang's family as her family is considered a near-poor household, living with her paternal grandmother. Because she has to stay at home to take care of her children, Ms. Giang does not have a stable job, and all income depends on her husband's precarious construction work.
According to Ms. Giang's sharing, if working regularly, her husband's income is only about 7-8 million VND per month. Meanwhile, the cost of treatment, medicine, milk and living for baby Khanh Phuong has exceeded 10 million VND per month. Not only that, their 5-year-old eldest son also just underwent a groin hernia surgery a few months ago.

Currently, baby Khanh Phuong is still continuing treatment at Hanoi National Children's Hospital. Faced with a heavy burden both mentally and economically, Ms. Giang's family is falling into an extremely difficult situation.
“Actually, revenue is not enough to cover expenses. My family only hopes for more help from philanthropists so that my child has the opportunity to continue treatment, overcome illness and grow up healthy,” Ms. Giang expressed.
Mr. Le The Nhat, Head of Son Hai residential group (Tinh Gia ward), confirmed that Ms. Hong Giang's family situation is near-poor in the locality, and life is still difficult. The fact that her young child has a serious illness and needs long-term treatment is making the family's economy increasingly exhausted.
I hope philanthropists and benefactors will pay attention and join hands to support Giang's family to have more conditions to treat their child, helping him overcome his illness soon and stabilize his health," Mr. Nhat shared.
