In a small house in hamlet 1, An Thanh village (Hoa Chau ward, Hue city), all activities of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh (born in 1999) have to rely on the hands of her husband - Mr. Tran Dinh Luom (born in 1994).
Currently, from walking, eating to taking care of young children, the young mother can hardly do it herself. Many spinal-related diseases that have lasted for many years have disrupted Ms. Thanh's life.
Ms. Thanh said that she discovered abnormal bone pain from the age of 22. Initially, she went to many places for treatment with the hope that the disease would soon subside. However, the pain not only did not stop but became more severe. After many examinations, she was diagnosed with spinal degeneration, vertebral slip and disc hernia.

Ms. Thanh had been treated and run for treatment in many places, but her condition did not improve. When she got married and became pregnant, Ms. Thanh's health deteriorated even more. Throughout her pregnancy, she had to lie in one place. After giving birth, the pain continued to torment the young mother.
The most painful thing for Ms. Thanh is that her son is still young but she herself does not have enough strength to hold and care for him. Baby Tran Dinh Huu Thien - Ms. Thanh's son - is only 1 year old and lacks the mother's caresses. When her child cries, Ms. Thanh can only lie down and watch, because her body does not allow her to hold and hug her child like other mothers.
Many times my child fusses and cries, but I can't hold him to comfort him, I feel heartbroken for him. I just hope it's less painful so I can take care of my child myself," Ms. Thanh said choked up.
During treatment, Ms. Thanh was also diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and had to use medication daily. Due to the condition and having to be treated with medication, she could not breastfeed and had to use formula.
“At night is also the time when I have to endure persistent pain. Many days my body aches make me unable to sleep. Doctors shared my severe herniated disc condition requiring surgery. The estimated surgery cost is about 40 million VND, which is too much money for the family,” Ms. Thanh said with tears in her eyes.
Ms. Thanh's husband is the main breadwinner in the family. He currently works as a cement porter, if there is work, he only earns about 150,000 VND a day. The job is already unstable, now he also has to take regular breaks to take care of his wife and children. One person is busy making money, one person is sick, the small house is becoming increasingly cramped due to worries...
Over the past time, Ms. Thanh and her husband had to borrow money from many places to have money for treatment. Old debts have not been fully repaid, and surgery costs continue to become a burden that the family does not know how to manage. Both paternal and maternal grandparents are old, in poor health and in difficult circumstances, so they can only support Ms. Thanh and her husband within their limited capacity.
At the age of 27, what Ms. Thanh desires is not something big. She only hopes to have enough conditions for surgery to reduce the pain, to be able to walk on her own and one day to carry her son into her arms.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh's situation is currently in great need of the sharing of philanthropists and readers near and far. The support at this time will help her have surgery, reduce the burden on her husband and, more importantly, help the young mother have the opportunity to return to normal life to take care of her young son.
