To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), representatives of the Golden Heart Fund of Labor in coordination with leaders of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province visited and presented 10 million VND to the family of Mr. Pham Xuan Hung (born in 1956, native of Thanh Hoa province, currently residing in Truong Phuoc village, Hai Lang commune, Quang Tri province).
Mr. Hung is a soldier of Regiment 6, Binh Tri Thien Military Command, who directly participated in combat and was wounded on the battlefield. Leaving the army with the rank of Lieutenant, he is a second-class wounded soldier with a body injury rate of 65%.
Returning to normal life, Mr. Hung's family built a small house in Hai Lang commune. However, for many years, the family's life has fallen into difficulty when they continuously had to take him to the hospital for treatment.
At the time the working delegation came to visit, the sick soldier was lying on a hospital bed. Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoa (Mr. Hung's son) shared that his father had just experienced a relapse of stroke. For many years, the family's life has been difficult when his father was sick and his wife and he did not have a stable job.
The family thanks the concern of the Golden Heart Fund of Labor and the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province for encouraging both spiritually and materially" - Mr. Hoa shared.
Mr. Tran Quoc Phong - Head of the Truong Phuoc Village Veterans Association said that understanding the difficult circumstances of the comrade's family, brothers in the local veterans association still regularly visit, support the burden of work and encourage the spirit.
Present at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Le Nguyen Huyen Trang - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Department of Home Affairs said that there are still many wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and families with meritorious services to the revolution in difficult circumstances in the province. On July 27 this year, the Provincial Party Committee, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee and levels and sectors have implemented many activities to care for and take care of them thoughtfully.
On behalf of the locality, leaders of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province acknowledged and respectfully thanked the affection and timely companionship of the Golden Heart Fund of Labor. Ms. Le Nguyen Huyen Trang emphasized that, besides the State's resources, the work of caring for people with meritorious services urgently needs the joint efforts of organizations, individuals, and philanthropists in society so that support both materially and spiritually is complete and warm.
