More than 200 athletes participate in the National Outstanding Young Tennis Players Tennis Tournament

On the morning of August 9, in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Outstanding Youth Tennis Players Tennis Championship - Vietravel Cup officially opened.

The tournament was organized in coordination with the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, and the support of relevant units.

More than 200 young tennis players from 12 units across the country from localities and newly merged clubs will compete, including: Ho Chi Minh City, Military, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Lam Dong, Bac Ninh, An Giang, Gia Lai, ACTN Tennis club, HMK Tennis club...

These are all units that own a talented young athlete force, many faces that have achieved impressive results at domestic and international tournaments, promising to create a fierce and highly professional competitive atmosphere right from the first matches.

This year's tournament will organize 22 competitions, spanning from U8 to U 18. The matches will take place continuously from August 9 to 16, with the participation of many talented young tennis players such as Nguyen Van Tuong Hai (Army) - U10, Le Phu Gia (HCMC) - U14, Tran Duc Minh (HCMC) - U16, Ngo Hong Hanh (Army) - U18...

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized: "This is the 5th national youth youth tournament held before young athletes return to school.

We believe that the tournament will be a launching pad for young tennis players to confidently express their mettle, aspiration and noble sportsmanship. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for the tennis community to cheer together, spread passion and love for this sport.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, VTF also coordinated with sponsors such as Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company to donate 100 million VND, AP Sports Club to donate 30 million VND and Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Tennis Club to donate 30 million VND, to recognize the successful relegation results of the Vietnam Davis Cup Team at the 2025 Davis Cup Group III International Tennis Tournament held in Bac Ninh province in July 2025, and at the same time to inspire and encourage all young players to compete for the color of the flag.
