After the first day of competition at the 2024 Laver Cup, Team Europe and Team World are tied at 2-2, with each team winning two matches.
Opening the second day of competition is the match between Daniil Medvedev and Frances Tiafoe - 2 players who did not compete on the first day.
Medvedev returns to the Laver Cup after a two-year absence - also two years in which Team Europe failed. Meanwhile, Tiafoe was a key member of Team World, which won the trophy two years in a row.
However, the big challenge for Tiafoe in his first match of this year's tournament is an opponent he is 5-1 against. All five of Medvedev's wins have come on hard courts.
The second singles match will see Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton, who played doubles on day one. This will be Alcaraz's first singles match at the Laver Cup, while Shelton will be playing his second time at the tournament.
Alcaraz leads 1-0 in the head-to-head record but is vulnerable on indoor hard courts. The Spaniard is also in poor form at the moment so it will be an opportunity for Shelton.
Day two will be almost all American action, as Taylor Fritz plays his third singles match against Alexander Zverev. It's a tight affair with the head-to-head currently level at 5-5.
For the doubles, Team Europe's pair are Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas, while Shelton will play alongside Alejandro Tabilo.
