On the afternoon of September 28, Hanoi City Police provided detailed information about the fire that occurred this morning (September 28) in Hoai Duc district, Hanoi.
Accordingly, at 4:25 a.m. on September 28, Call Center 114 - City Police Command Center received a report of a fire in a production workshop at Team 12, Rung Pagoda area, Mien Bai, Duong Lieu commune (Hoai Duc, Hanoi).
Immediately after receiving the information, the City Police mobilized 6 fire trucks and 40 officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and the Rescue Police Department of the Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, City Police to the scene to organize fire fighting.
At the same time, Hoai Duc District Police also mobilized Duong Lieu Commune Police and neighboring communes to coordinate with Hoai Duc District Military Command and the people to support fire fighting, search and rescue.

At the scene, the authorities determined that the area where the fire broke out was a plastic recycling factory, with a scale of 1 floor, a steel frame structure with a corrugated iron roof with an area of about 500m2. The fire situation was complicated, with many flammable materials, generating toxic smoke and gas and the possibility of fire spreading to neighboring factories and warehouses...
The forces quickly arrived at the scene, deployed fighting teams, put out the fire, prevented the fire from spreading; organized search and rescue, and traffic diversion, ensuring security and order.
After a period of firefighting efforts, the fire was brought under control at 5:05 a.m. the same day. At around 6:18 a.m., the fire was completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading to neighboring factories.
As a result, the fire killed one person and damaged part of a plastic recycling factory with an area of about 500 square meters and part of a laundry factory with an area of about 100 square meters.
Currently, Hoai Duc District Police are coordinating with professional units to urgently investigate, clarify the cause of the fire and handle it according to legal regulations.
