After 4 days of exciting competition, the National Excellent Tennis Players Tournament 2025 - FPT Play Cup - Hoang Thanh Trung officially closed on the afternoon of December 28, at Hoang Thanh Trung Tennis Club Complex, Ho Chi Minh City. The tournament left many professional marks and special emotions for experts, fans and athletes.
The tournament gathers Top 8 male and Top 8 female tennis players in Vietnam, the most outstanding faces of Vietnamese tennis today. The average age of tennis players is still very young, but all clearly demonstrate and affirm the professional quality at a high level.
In particular, this is the first time in 6 years that this prestigious tournament has been re-organized exclusively for top athletes, marking an important start for the national competition system as well as orienting the development of high-performance tennis in the new period.
Throughout the competition days, the matches took place with high professional quality, drama, contributing many attractive balls, clearly showing the bravery, class and professional fighting spirit of the top players.
The focus of the tournament is the finals in the men's and women's professional singles events.
In the men's singles, Vietnam's No. 1 player Vu Ha Minh Duc (AP Sports Club) defeated Nguyen Dai Khanh (Becamex - Ho Chi Minh City) with a score of 2-0 (6-4, 7-5).
In the women's singles event, athlete Tran Tchouassi Louise Natasha competed bravely and excellently surpassed tennis player Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (Hanoi) with a score of 2-1 (7-5, 1-6, 6-3), to spectacularly win the championship.
