The 2025 National Tennis Championship is scheduled to take place from October 12 to October 19 on a standard court cluster in Phan Thiet (Lam Dong). The Vietnam Tennis Federation announced that the tournament has a total prize money of 500 million VND.
Of which, the men's singles championship has a prize of 70 million VND. The female singles champion will be rewarded with 60 million VND. The champion of the men's doubles won a prize of 30 million VND, the first place in the women's doubles won a prize of 25 million VND, and won the gold medal in the men's and women's doubles with a prize of 25 million VND.
To create attraction, the men's singles event will have awards for the players from the round of 16 for the best players. In women's singles, athletes will receive bonuses from the quarter-finals.
In 2024, tennis player Vu Ha Minh Duc won the men's singles championship while Demi Tran was the women's singles champion. The national championship is the tournament with the highest professional competition in the national system. This year, the achievements of the players will be one of the criteria for the tennis department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) and the Vietnam Tennis Federation to focus on the national team for international missions, including the 33rd SEA Games.
Having switched to pickleball, Ly Hoang Nam and Trinh Linh Giang are almost certain not to participate in this year's National Championship. However, many players with good expertise such as Vu Ha Minh Duc, Nguyen Van Phuong, Pham La Hoang Anh, Dinh Viet Tuan Minh, Nguyen Minh Phat... are expected to participate.
