According to Resolution No. 418/NQ-CP issued by the Government, on the occasion of the 14th National Party Congress and the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, policy beneficiaries will receive cash gifts worth 400,000 VND.
The policy of giving Tet Nguyen Dan gifts in 2026 to people with meritorious services to the revolution is implemented according to current regulations of law on people with meritorious services to the revolution, completed before January 31, 2026. The gift receiving group includes people with meritorious services to the revolution, social protection beneficiaries, social retirees, orphans and people without shelter. Payment is made through an integrated social security benefit account on the VNeID application (if any) to ensure speed, transparency and convenience for people, or receiving cash directly at the local level (Commune/Ward People's Committee).
To ensure receiving social security benefits on time, people need to check themselves whether the social security account on VNeID has been successfully connected to the bank or not. In this process, if problems arise in integration, users may encounter some common errors from the system, account or related data.
Social Security Account registration steps on VNeID
Step 1: Log in to VNeID: Open the application, log in to the electronic identification account (level 2).
Step 2: Select Social Security: Select the "Social Security" > "Social Security benefits" section.
Step 3: Choose bank/e-wallet: Choose the bank you want to receive money from (Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, MB...).
Step 4: Enter information: Enter your bank account/e-wallet number, fill in all personal information and agree to share data.
Step 5: Send request: Confirm and send the request, waiting for the review results from VNeID.
Before registering for social security accounts on VNeID, people need to note that VNeID accounts need to have VNeID accounts at level 2. According to regulations, only VNeID accounts that reach level 2 are granted access and integration of social security information. Therefore, people with accounts at level 1 need to bring their citizen identification cards to the commune and ward police headquarters to complete upgrade procedures, from which they can proceed with the next bank linkage steps.
In addition, the use of banks or electronic wallets not in VNeID's partner system also causes bank account linkage failures. Currently, the payment network has been expanded with the participation of large banks in the "Big 4" group (Vietcombank, VietinBank, BIDV, Agribank) along with many other commercial banks (such as MB, Techcombank, ACB, Sacombank, VPBank...) and popular electronic wallets such as MoMo, VNPT Money, Viettel Money. However, if the bank that people use is not on the support list, the system will not display the option to proceed with integration.
In addition, users need to pay attention to other technical factors such as system overload during peak payment periods, leading to bank data not being fully displayed. Moreover, not updating the application is also a common reason why the "Social Security" section is hidden or information does not match. To solve this problem, people should proactively check and upgrade VNeID to the latest version on the application store to ensure all features operate smoothly.
