Huong Dien Martyrs Cemetery (Phong An commune, Phong Dien district) is the largest martyrs cemetery in Thua Thien Hue province. This is the resting place of 3,623 martyrs, of which only about 1,000 graves have been identified.
For many years, Huong Dien Martyrs Cemetery has been a "red address" visited by all levels, branches, socio-political organizations, people in the area, pilgrims, and relatives of martyrs throughout the country. visit often. However, up to now, information management at cemeteries is still done manually, without synchronization.
Receiving requests from the Youth Council of Thua Thien Hue province, over the past 3 months, with the coordination of collecting field information at the cemetery of on-site union members, in conjunction with the Labor Department, Invalids and Social Affairs (LISA) Phong Dien district, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Information Technology Center has digitized data and used Geographic Information System (GIS), technology Esri's ArcGIS digital map to upload information, images and coordinates of martyrs' graves to the software system. At the same time, build and design software interfaces to fully meet the needs of managing and promoting information and images for activities at the cemetery.
In addition, the unit also coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue province to grant the domain name of Huong Dien Martyrs Cemetery Management Software at the address: http://ntlshuongdien.thuathienhue.gov.vn /. This domain name was officially put into operation on the occasion of the 77th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
According to the Information Technology Center of Thua Thien Hue province, through the application of GIS technology, relatives and visitors will find it easier to find information about martyrs. At the same time, it helps management levels and professional departments easily monitor and update data, provide information and develop timely professional reports.
