According to The Sun, the management of low-cost carrier Ryanair (Ireland) is investigating the two pilots appearing in the video using a rubber chicken to operate equipment in the cockpit.
The footage - filmed at Birmingham Airport (UK) - shows the pilot playing with toys inside the cockpit of the Boeing 737-800, before the flight took off in Pisa, Italy.
One pilot squeezed a rubber chicken and used it to push therow in the cockpit forward, while a passenger on a flight could carry up to 189 people. The other pilot wore headphones and slurred his tongue with "push-ups". Another scene also shows a series of tangled suspended grains near the important dashboard.
"Using rubber chickens to operate the equipment in the cockpit before takeoff is really unprofessional and makes me worried about other dangerous actions that could take place there," an unnamed person shared on The Sun.
In response to public reaction, airport spokesman Ryanair said: "The images and videos were taken before the plane took off. Although these are actually images showing inexperience, they do not pose risks or xungate safety".
"We encourage the crew to enjoy the joy of their work, however, we hope they will always demonstrate their professionalism and the incident is still being investigated," the spokesperson said.
The incident comes as airport carrier Ryanair - which has suspended most flights due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic - announced that it will increase the number of flights by 40% to serve the needs of tourists to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and cyberspace in the coming time.
