22 countries ask Iran to stop attacking "on our territory

Thanh Hà |

On June 11, 22 countries, including the US and European countries, jointly warned Iran to stop attacking people "on our territory".

22 countries including Albania, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom, the United States condemned Iran's plots to kill and other malicious acts in Europe, North America and Australia.

Conspirations to kill, kidnap, harass, threaten or attack people on our territory undermine national sovereignty and international norms. These actions must be stopped immediately" - the countries stated in a joint statement quoted by AFP.

Countries accuse the intelligence agency of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the IRGC's overseas branch - the Quds Force, of participating in "deadly plots and malicious acts" targeting dissidents, Iranian journalists and the community as well as the interests of Jews and Israelis.

We are united in determination to protect our country and people from these threats. The Islamic Republic of Iran must stop these actions now" - the statement stated.

These countries accuse Iran of being behind the campaign across Europe targeting the Jewish community, Iranian journalists and US journalists.

The Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya group, linked to Iran, has claimed responsibility for a series of recent arson attacks targeting Jewish synagogues and community sites in Golders Green, London, UK - where there is a large Jewish community.
