Results from a survey conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM). The survey surveyed opinions of 1,600 adult Russians from December 15 to December 21.
“A total of 80.8% of survey participants answered positively when asked about their trust in President Vladimir Putin (down 0.6 percentage points), while the approval rating for the president's administration also decreased by 0.9 percentage points, down to 77%” - the report stated.
The operational efficiency of the Russian government was supported by 49.5% of respondents (up 1.2 percentage points), while the operation of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was supported by 50.7% of respondents (up 0.3 percentage points). 60% of respondents expressed confidence in Prime Minister Mishustin (down 0.2 percentage points).
Survey participants also expressed their attitude towards party leaders in Congress. Accordingly, 35% believe in Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov (up 2.2 percentage points), 30.7% believe in leader of the Party of Truth and Justice of Russia Sergey Mironov (up 0.8 percentage points), 22.6% believe in leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Leonid Slutsky (up 1.7 percentage points), and 8.6% believe in Chairman of the New People's Party Alexey Nechayev (down 1.1 percentage points).
The approval rating of the United Russia Party was 35.2% (down 0.8 percentage points), the Communist Party was 8.8% (down 0.3 percentage points), the Liberal Democratic Party was 10.7% (up 0.5 percentage points), the Truth-For-Truth Russia Party was 5.4% (unchanged) and the New People's Party was 7.7% (down 0.5 percentage points).
