India's Home Secretary has announced the end of the campaign to search for suspects in the terrorist attack in Kashmir.

Indian security forces said on July 29 that they had killed three suspected terrorists, believed to be behind the attack on Hindu tourists in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people. The information was confirmed by the Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.

The attack occurred in the mountainous area of Pahalgam, which attracts a large number of tourists, on April 22. The gunmen opened fire in a valley before fleeing into the surrounding pine forests. New Delhi authorities confirmed that the attackers were Australian citizens and were supported by Islamabad.

This bloody event was considered the worst attack on civilians in India since the series of bombings in Mumbai in 2008. Tensions between India and Pakistan broke out after the incident, leading to four days of fierce conflict.

Islamabad authorities denied any involvement and called for an independent investigation into the incident. However, the Indian side said that the campaign to kill the three suspects had ended part of the responsibility in the series of tense developments.
