Russian Minister of Health directly rescues passengers on a flight to Vietnam

Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko was praised for his timely actions to rescue a passenger while the plane was flying from Moscow to Hanoi.

According to reports, a passenger around 50 years old suddenly had a severe high blood pressure while the flight was in the air. Recognizing the critical situation, Murashko used medical knowledge for immediate first aid, helping to stabilize the blood pressure and health of the passengers before the plane landed.

The situation attracted attention because the person who directly provided first aid was not an ordinary medical staff member on the flight, but the Russian Minister of Health Murashko. Although his actions were not necessarily in accordance with medical procedures on the plane, his agility helped prevent serious risks if passengers were not intervened in time.

Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko led a high-level working delegation of the Russian Ministry of Health to officially visit and work in Vietnam from September 12-14.

Some passengers on the plane later shared that, without Murashko's help, the condition of people with high blood pressure could have become more serious. It is not yet clear whether there will be medical support from the flight crew or any specialized medical equipment used, but the airline's announcement said that passengers have stabilized and the flight continues after the incident.

The event quickly spread on social media and attracted attention because few senior officials directly intervened in the mid-air emergency situation. Many people commented that this is both a humane act and an act of demonstrating the courage and responsibility of the leader of the medical industry.

Mr. Mikhail Murashko (58 years old) started his career as an obstetrician and gynecologist in the Komi Republic, then became Director of the regional Obstetrics and Gynecology Center and held the position of Minister of Health of the region.

He moved to work at the federal level as Deputy Director of the Russian Health Supervision Agency (Roszdravnadzor) and became the head of the agency in 2015. In 2020, President Vladimir Putin appointed him as the Minister of Health in Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's cabinet.
