Chinese sexdoll understands and interacts like human

Sexual dolls in China thanks to AI integration know how to speak, remember stories and interact like real people.

WMDoll, one of China's largest sextile manufacturers, expects sales to increase by 30% in 2025 thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its products. The company believes that this technology not only makes interactive dolls more flexible but also opens a new era for the adult toy industry.

SCMP quoted Ms. Liu Jiangxia, founder and CEO of WMDoll, as saying that the company has received positive feedback from customers after integrating large language models (LLM) into the new doll line.

Using AI helps dolls not only respond faster and remember stories, but also have the ability to communicate more like humans, bringing a closer experience to users, Ms. Liu shared.

Previously, sex jobs were mainly designed to simulate the human body, with a metal frame and leather made from silicon or heat-resistant elastomer (TPE). However, with the development of AI, WMDoll has upgraded its product by integrating AI modules that can connect to cloud computing systems. Thanks to that, the dolls can remember information from previous conversations, creating connections and personalizing the user experience.

WMDoll's MetaBox smart doll line uses open-source AI models such as Meta's Llama. This allows the company to refine AI to suit each market without being bound by monopoly systems.

Notable upgrades to the new generation of AI dolls include the ability to talk naturally. Doll can remember information from previous conversations, helping to maintain the flow of the story instead of just giving simple responses like previous models.

Users can choose toys with 8 different personalities, from gentle, smart to bold and mischievous.

Although still using a metal frame and silicone leather layer as before, AI has turned these puppets from a simple toy into a virtual companion form, capable of communicating and interacting like humans.

With these significant improvements, WMDoll's AI dolls are priced higher than the old version, ranging from 1,600 - 2,200 USD (an increase of about 100 - 200 USD). After the first year, users will have to pay a monthly fee to maintain AI services, similar to the way AI chatbot platforms work today.

To address privacy concerns, WMDoll has added a one- click data Deletion feature, ensuring that all personal information of users is not stored for long periods of time.

Not stopping at the ability to talk, WMDoll is cooperating with the startup Mind with Heart Robotics in Shenzhen to develop puppets with real-life facial expressions, such as blinking, smiling, and even being able to move the body naturally.

About 90% of WMDoll's sales come from foreign markets, especially North America and Europe. However, the company is also facing new challenges. The tariffs of the US President Donald Trump administration affect the selling price of WMDoll products.

AI technologies such as China's DeepSeek cannot operate in some markets, such as Italy, forcing the company to consider choosing the AI model that suits each region.
