A fire broke out at an apartment in a public housing area in Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong (China).
Hong Kong (China) authorities received multiple calls at 3:43 a.m. on December 13 reporting the fire at Tin Chak residential area, accompanied by explosions.
According to local media, firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and rescued a man living in a burning apartment. The man was found lying alert but fell into a coma after being taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. The victim suffered 20% skin burns.
A total of 11 men and 12 women were evacuated by firefighters, while more than 200 others voluntarily left their apartments.
The fire was then extinguished and residents returned to their apartments.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
The latest apartment fire in Hong Kong (China) occurred just a few days after the apartment fire at the end of November at Wang Fuk Court that killed 160 residents.
