Present at the area where the Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Project 2 is being implemented (in Liem Tuyen Ward, Ninh Binh Province) on December 6, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the investor and contractors are focusing on human resources, machinery and equipment to complete the installation of equipment, ready for the operation of facility 2 of the two hospitals above.
For facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital, contractors are completing the installation of equipment and machinery in departments and rooms to be ready for operation.
The patient reception area, medicine stall, hospital bed, testing machine system, X-ray... have been basically installed.
For Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, branch 2, the investor and contractors are continuing to complete the final items of the construction and installation of equipment in departments and rooms.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Cuong - Deputy Head of the Medical Project Management Board - investor of the 2 Projects (under the Ministry of Health) - said that the investor is directing contractors to focus on human and material resources to speed up the project completion progress.
"Up to now, Bach Mai Hospital's facility 2 has completed the construction and is installing equipment, machinery, hospital beds... to ensure sufficient conditions to operate at 30% of capacity. For Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the construction has been basically completed and the equipment installation packages are being implemented" - Mr. Cuong said.
According to Mr. Cuong, the inauguration ceremony will be held on the same occasion as the inauguration ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony of large-scale and meaningful projects and works across the country (expected to be held on December 19, 2025) on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance War and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Tung - Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital - said that the hospital has developed a large-scale human resource plan, determining the minimum number of personnel to operate a new 1,000-bed facility for 1,154 people.
Currently, the hospital has recruited and provided advanced training for more than 600 doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and obstetricians. The hospital will rotate at least 1/3 of highly qualified human resources from Hanoi as the core to operate facility 2 at Ninh Binh facility.
"This rate may increase depending on the actual situation. Currently, 620 civil servants and employees at Hanoi facilities have registered to work at Ninh Binh facilities in phase 1. In particular, the hospital has built an operating model of "one hospital - two facilities", ensuring unity in professional management, quality standards and connectivity in medical examination and treatment, health insurance and operations" - Mr. Tung said.
