Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi torn a copy of the federal message after President Donald Trump ended his annual speech on the evening of February 4 (US time, morning of January 5, Vietnam time).
About 90 minutes earlier, President Donald Trump refused to shake hands with Pelosi as she stepped onto the podium to prepare for a message reading.
The Independent quoted an assistant to Pelosi as saying she had torn a copy of the federal message and did not explain further beyond saying she did not like Donald Trump's speech.
