On June 12, a court in Seoul sentenced former President Yoon Suk Yeol to 30 years in prison for ordering drones to enter North Korea, increasing cross-border tensions and creating a basis for the declaration of martial law in December 2024, Yonhap reported.
The group of special prosecutor Cho Eun-suk has requested a 30-year prison sentence for Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol on charges including creating an advantage for opponents, accusing him of ordering drone flights in October 2024 to provoke Pyongyang and using the incident as an excuse to declare martial law on December 3, 2024.
