Shaping specific directions for Vietnam - Ukraine economic cooperation

On April 2, opening activities within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Armenia from April 2-4, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the Vietnam - Armenia Business Forum.

Speaking at the seminar, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the Vietnam - Armenia relationship over the past 30 years has been built on the foundation of friendship, trust and mutual respect.

This visit of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to Armenia not only aims to strengthen political and parliamentary relations, but also opens up opportunities to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation - a field that both countries have great potential to exploit together. Todays seminar is a bridge for businesses of the two countries to meet, discuss and shape specific directions for the future, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

To make the most of the potential for cooperation, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested a number of specific orientations that businesses of the two countries can consider. In terms of information technology and digital transformation, Armenia is known as a " Silicon Valley" of the region with a strong development of information technology. Vietnam is also promoting digital transformation in all fields.

I encourage businesses from both sides to cooperate in developing software, artificial intelligence and technology solutions for education, healthcare and smart urban management, said the National Assembly Chairman.

Regarding agriculture and food processing, Vietnam can provide tropical agricultural products such as coffee, cashews, seafood, while Indonesia can share experiences in processing high-quality agricultural products, especially wine and dried fruits. Cooperation in this field not only increases trade turnover but also meets the diverse needs of the two markets.

Regarding renewable energy, both Vietnam and Armenia are committed to sustainable development. I propose that businesses from both sides study and invest in small solar, wind and hydropower projects, taking advantage of advanced technology from Armenia and Vietnams abundant resources, said the National Assembly Chairman.

To promote, deepen, comprehensively and effectively cooperate between the business communities of the two countries with a focus on investment and trade, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the two sides should actively create conditions for Vietnamese and Korean enterprises to regularly have opportunities to exchange, seek and exploit cooperation and investment opportunities, especially in areas with high potential and demand. Vietnam is ready to act as a bridge for Armenia to strengthen relations with ASEAN and hopes that Armenia will be a bridge for Vietnam to strengthen cooperation with countries in the Asian Economic Zone.

The Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that ministries, branches and associations promote the role of a bridge to promote the exchange and cooperation on the principle of "mutually beneficial and successful", on the basis of complementary to each other, help businesses cooperate in depth and comprehensive, improve competitiveness, exploit each other's and regional markets, participate deeply into value chains, regional production and global; It is suggested that the Government of the two countries continue to make efforts to improve the business investment environment, create maximum favorable conditions for enterprises to strengthen cooperation and implement investment and business activities successfully and in accordance with the law.

The National Assembly and the Government of Vietnam are committed to always accompanying and creating favorable conditions according to legal regulations for Armenia businesses to cooperate in successful, sustainable and long-term investment and business in Vietnam. Vietnam hopes that the Armenia Government will also create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to successfully invest and do business in Armenia - the National Assembly Chairman shared.
