Russia accelerates mass production of Yolka interceptor drones.

Russia's latest Yolka interceptor drone has been put into mass production, with production increasing rapidly.

This information was shared by the official manufacturer representative of the drone development company with TASS on March 16.

According to a manufacturer representative, the mass production of the Yolka handheld drone interceptor system, integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), is being expanded rapidly.

“This drone is developed and manufactured in Moscow. There are currently many different versions being manufactured. This helps the system to be continuously upgraded and respond quickly to new threats, thereby providing reliable protection for both military and civilian infrastructure," the company representative said.

According to the manufacturer, Russia's latest Yolka drone combines high automation capabilities with high accuracy.

The system can automatically detect targets, adjust flight paths in real time and destroy targets with kinetic energy strikes. Artificial intelligence helps minimize human errors and can respond to threats even when the target is approaching, making this drone an important component of modern air defense systems," the company's expert emphasized.

He also said that engineers are continuing to upgrade the accuracy, lethality and maneuverability of the Yolka drone.

Previously, there was information that this drone interceptor system was deployed to protect Russian border areas as well as combat zones in the conflict in Ukraine.

Yolka is a mobile interceptor system, destroying targets with direct impact kinetic energy, so it does not need explosive warheads.

The system is designed to deal with many different types of targets, from FPV drones, reconnaissance drones to large aircraft-type attack drones.

According to information from the manufacturer: The weight of the Yolka drone is about 1.3kg, maximum flight speed is about 230 km/h. The detection and interception range of the Yolka drone is a maximum of 3km.
