In a post on May 28, Ms. Simonyan - Editor-in-Chief of RT channel - warned that Germany could face serious consequences if Taurus was used to attack the Russian capital.
Ms. Simonyan's statement was made in the context of many speculations about the possibility of Germany providing Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
The missile has a range of up to 500 km, capable of reaching the Russian capital if launched from Ukraine.
These speculations were renewed after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Berlin and its partners had lifted restrictions on the range of Western weapons that Ukraine was allowed to use.
However, the German government has not yet confirmed any official decision regarding the transfer of the Taurus missile system to Kiev. An article in Bild newspaper on May 28 said Berlin still considered the provision of this type of weapon "anhydrated".
At Moscow offices, it is being discussed that if the German army attacks Moscow with German weapons, the only remaining option for us is to attack Berlin, she said.
Simonyan said that Ukraine does not have the technical capabilities to maintain and program this advanced missile, so all deployment activities will require the participation of German soldiers.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also responded to Mr. Merz's statement about lifting the limit on weapons range. He warned that if this were true, it would lead to a serious escalation and undermine current efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
Previously, the German government under former Chancellor Olaf Scholz has repeatedly refused to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine, citing that this could lead Germany directly into conflict with Russia.
