A source in the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Service (HUR) said the explosion in Russia's Vladivostok damaged a gas pipeline and destroyed a water pipeline supplying military facilities in the region on July 5.
A fire broke out after the blast and destroyed parts of the Vladivostok gas pipeline along the Sea of Japan, the source said.
The explosion occurred at around 1-2am on July 5 local time. Russian special repair and service teams arrived immediately.
The damaged pipeline supplies gas to several Russian military facilities, including the 155th Meritorious Service Brigade of the Pacific Theater.
The water pipeline destroyed in the explosion provided drinking water to military posts in the area.
Ukraine regularly attacks military targets deep in Russian territory to undermine Moscow's fighting power.
The General Staff of Ukraine said that Ukraine attacked Borisoglebsk airport in Russia'svoronezh region on the night of July 5, destroying a warehouse containing guided bombs, aircraft and other military assets.
The attack on the airport was part of a larger drone attack overnight across Russia, with explosions and fires reported in at least six areas.
