Iran deploys 2 long-range missiles to retaliate against Israel

Iran launched two long-range missile launches into Israeli territory on the night of June 13 and early morning of June 14 in retaliation for Israel's attack the day before.

Israel's continuous attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, generals and scientists on June 13 left 78 dead and more than 320 injured, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani told the United Nations Security Council, stressing that most of the victims were civilians.

The ambassador said shortly after Iran responded to a series of long-range missiles targeting the commercial capital of Israel, Tel Aviv injured at least 34 people on the night of June 13 and early morning of June 14.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed it had targeted Israeli military centers and air bases in missile attacks in response.

"Using a combination of smart systems and precision guidance," Iran has targeted military centers and Israeli air bases that have launched strikes against Iran, the IRGC statement said.

Iran has said it has attacked Israeli military industrial centers used to produce missiles and other military equipment.

"Current reports, satellite images and intelligence show that dozens of ballistic missiles have actually struck strategic targets," the statement said.

This operation was carried out in a strong and attack-oriented manner, closely coordinating with all branches of the Iranian armed forces and institutions. The main message of the attack is that the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the red lines of the armed forces, the IRGC stressed.

Iran has also activated air defense systems in Tehran to intercept another Israeli attack, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency and state-owned Fars news agency reported on the morning of June 14.

In the early morning of June 14, the Israeli military said another long-range missile attack by Iran was taking place and urged people, who were panicked after the first round of missiles, to take shelter.

loud explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem minutes after the Israeli military warned that it had identified many Iranian missiles flying in.

Iran's Nour News media channel, which has a close relationship with the Revolutionary Guards, confirmed that a new Iranian attack is underway.
