The Iranian Ministry of Oil announced on July 25, local time, that it had "sold 11.5 billion USD of oil during the conflict and 6.5 billion USD during the ceasefire" before the US-Iran ceasefire agreement collapsed.
This figure "accounts for more than 60% of oil revenue forecast in this year's budget in the context of the crisis," the Iranian Ministry of Oil added.
At the end of June, Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that Iran could not export any oil during the US blockade of its ports.
The US and Israeli attack on Iran, which began on February 28, led to the outbreak of conflict, leading to Iran attacking US allies in the region.
The ceasefire agreement reached in April ended most of the fighting. However, fighting resumed in early July when the US and Iran seized control of the Strait of Hormuz.
