The new attack occurred again targeting a tanker at the Black Sea port, the Caspian Oil Pipeline Corporation (CPC) said.

CPC reported a new drone attack targeting an oil tanker at the group's port near Novorossiysk, Russia, TASS reported on July 20.

The news report stated that the CPC resumed oil transportation on the evening of July 19 after a previous attack on the company's port. However, oil transportation continued to be temporarily suspended once again after a drone attack on a tanker near this facility on July 20.

On July 20, a civilian oil tanker was attacked again at CPC's seaport. The drone terrorist attack was carried out against the oil tanker Nelsa, which was unloading goods at the SPM-1 anchorage" - CPC's statement stated.

After the attack, the fire broke out on the deck and in the holds of the tanker after being attacked on the starboard side, in the area between the superstructure, engine room and boiler. The fire was extinguished within hours and the ship was not affected by operation.

The entire international crew of 22 people has been evacuated by CPC tugboats, except for the captain and deputy captain. The oil tanker is still on the surface. The discharge of oil has been temporarily suspended and no oil spills or explosions occurred inside the tanks" - CPC said.

Previously, on July 19, during cargo unloading at the CPC seaport, 2 oil tankers Asia and Nissos Ios were attacked by drones.
