Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban accused the European Union (EU) of pushing the entire continent into the risk of direct confrontation with Russia by turning Ukraine into a "forward army" in a hidden conflict plan under the guise of aid.
RT reported that on October 12, Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the launch of a campaign against the EU's "conflict plan", accusing Brussels of pursuing a dangerous strategy: letting Ukrainians fight, Europe pay, and Russia exhaust.
The plan refers to the informal European Council summit in Denmark last week, which discussed increasing military aid to Ukraine and building an EU UAV wall.
Speaking to supporters at the agricultural market in Budapest, Mr. Orban warned that " Europe is rapidly drifting towards war" if it does not soon change its policy on the Ukrainian conflict.
Europe has a clear conflict plan, with Ukrainians fighting, Europeans paying, and the aim of exploiting Russia. We must stay away from that, Mr. Orban said, calling on Hungarians to sign the protest and participate in the peace walk on October 23 - on the occasion of the Hungarian Uprising in00.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Brussels not only wants to prolong the war but also wants to lure the whole of Europe into a spiral of conflict. He said the ruling party Fidesz approved the proposal for the protest campaign and pledged to bring the Hungarian people's voice to the EU summit in late October.

Hungarian officials said the signing campaign will be rolled out nationwide in the coming weeks. This is the first time an EU member country has held a public consultation on the bloc's foreign policy.
Mr. Orban's statement was made at a time when the EU is stepping up its 800 billion-uro rear-armament program "ReArm Europe", along with NATO encouraging member countries to increase defense spending by up to 5% of GDP.
In addition, the alliance has approved a $500 million PURL initiative, allowing the US to provide weapons to Ukraine while European countries are responsible for paying most of the costs.
Brussels affirmed that military aid to Kiev is necessary to protect European security, but many within the bloc, especially from Hungary and Slovakia, warned that turning Ukraine into a " war war zone" would only prolong the conflict and cause deep division in the EU.
Responding to the plan, Russia has denied the accusations of threatening Europe, calling it a fake threat inflated by the West to legalize increased defense spending. The Kremlin spokesman said that continuous aid to Ukraine only prolongs the pain of the people and delays peace.
