Speaking at the closing ceremony on August 14, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that during each visit of Party and State leaders to the overseas Vietnamese community, the work of preserving and honoring the Vietnamese language has always received special attention.
The presented Vietnamese bookcases not only convey the affection and respect of the leaders for overseas Vietnamese, but also demonstrate the companionship and active contributions of relevant agencies and organizations.
Sharing about some orientations in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized the need to continue to promote communication work, raise awareness of the meaning of Vietnamese to the community, and synchronously use official media channels and social networks to spread the message "Vietnamese - a link connecting the Vietnamese community abroad".
Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien said that in 2025, activities in response to the Project will take place enthusiastically at home and abroad, with many highlights such as the launching ceremony of the Vietnamese honoring day and the "Search for Overseas Vietnamese speakers" Contest, attracting more than 50 candidates from 15 countries; building and donating additional Vietnamese bookcases in many areas, supporting more than 5,600 books and teaching materials for the Vietnamese language to the community...

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation work still faces difficulties such as uneven spread levels, limited funding, lack of human resources and limited awareness of the importance of preserving Vietnamese for the younger generation.
In the presentation, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), emphasized the role of culture, language and art as strong threads connecting the overseas Vietnamese community with national identity, homeland and origin.
He proposed to maintain regular events and activities at reasonable costs but high efficiency such as Vietnamese film weeks; at the same time, build an open mechanism to attract overseas Vietnamese to contribute, promote the role of "Cultural Ambassadors" in the community, thereby spreading Vietnamese cultural values sustainably.

2025 is the third year of implementing the Project "Days of Honoring Vietnamese in Overseas Vietnamese Communities for the period 2023-2030" according to the Prime Minister's Decision.
The project is not only an initiative to strengthen the work of overseas Vietnamese, but also an activity of strategic significance in preserving and promoting the national cultural identity of the overseas Vietnamese community, strengthening the community's connection with the homeland and country.
